Below is a link to a Google doc containing all the kids who are done registering. please make sure to check it to see who from your school is on it.
If you know for a fact that someone signed up and is not on the list, add it to the "Problem registrations" file and we will work on it.

As we are entering our final lap for getting kids signed up please note the following important points.


  1. Passed years have shown that to get someone to really sign up they need to be contacted at leased two or three times. so, even if parents told you they will do it chances are you need to follow up and make sure they did. please see the list mentioned above. 
  2. It is very important to try to get kids to bring friends and family. if a kid is coming call back and tell them about the raffle for referring a friend. lets get the big numbers.
  3. Remember that in addition to the current lists there are also lists of kids who were in released time in passed years and kids who were at the parade in passed years.
  4. keep calling we only have until Wednesday night to get kids signed up.

Dear Parents
On behalf of the ‘The Lag Ba’omer Parade Committee’, we are delighted to invite you to the annual Grand Lag Ba’omer Parade and Fair.
The parade is one of Jewish unity and pride, and has been initiated by the Lubavitcher Rebbe since the 1950s. The program consists of a concert with famous jewish a parade with tens of floats depicting many Jewish themes, a fair with close to 30 attractions for all ages, and tens of thousands of Jewish children uniting as one in honor of the holiday of Lag Ba’omer.
Lag Ba’omer this year is on Sunday, May 18. The program is scheduled to start at 10:00 AM.
This year, the Released Time program of Greater New York is waiving the nominal cost of the event for all those in the released time group. A special section will be set aside for the released time children.
To ensure seating room and a great parade t-shirt, registration is necessary. Please visit JewishHour.org.  to sign up.
Transportation will be arranged for pick up and drop off from local public schools. Please call for more info. (Transportation is not available for schools in Manhattan.)
May we merit celebrating Lag Ba’omer this year in Jerusalem together with Moshiach!

Talking points for calling/talking to parents


·         Released time is joining the great parade on Sunday may 18th I would like to know if….will be joining us..
·         Parade Main features: Jewish unity, dancing, live music, street closure and marching, bbq food, beautiful floats.
·         Each child will be provided with pick up and drop off from local public schools ($5 for transportation), lunch, a free t-shirt and rides.
·         Great fair: included in the parade will be the great fare rides that will thrill all ages
·         Sign up now and your child will have a chance to win a ps4 (play station) only for released time kids
·         Refer a child for a chance to win an Xbox 360 plus kinect  (get someone to register and say that he was referred by you)make sure to ask each parent if they want you to explain them how to do this (this is our source for major numbers)
·         This is the last time your child will have an opportunity to come to the great parade as a child. There is no Sunday lag baomer for more then 4  years
·         Parents are strongly encouraged to come along

Technical details
·         Pick up and drop off will be provided from local public schools ($5) leaving at about 8:30 am returning about 2:30 (details will be communicated as soon as they become available
to sign up have them call the office or go to /www.jewishhour.org/ try to get them to go on line while you are on the phone

·         The perade is free for released time children and includes rides and a t-shirt
